This rugged, all metal light box has a unique semicircular lower reflector for even illumination edge to edge. Large enough for all negative filing requirements. Picture shows a sleeve of 35mm negatives (as large as an 8x10 negative), and a 5x7 negative on the light surface.

Professional Grade Light Box

We've had requests for a heavy duty Light Box, for professional duty use. Daylight balanced light box uses 5000K illumination, and has an extra large 18" x 12" viewing area. Quality, all metal welded constructed frame has a white baked enamel finish - no sharp edges, and rubber bumpers below. Operates on AC power, has a 10 foot power cord for convenience, and a large rocker switch conveniently located on the right front of the unit.

Light Box comes with a translucent acrylic top. The side brackets are adjustable to allow a sheet of glass to be installed above it, for cutting purposes, etc.

For safety and beauty, dry mount your fine prints on a quality mount board.

Buffered, Acid Free Mount Board

A fine print deserves a fine presentation. These boards are smooth, bright white and highly satisfactory for dry mounting. I use the small 8x10 board for 4x5 and smallish prints, 11x14 board for "5x7ish" prints, and 16x20 boards for 8x10 and larger prints. Sold shrink wrapped in packages of 5 boards. This mount board is the same thickness and quality as the 4 ply mount board I used to get from Light Impressions, but at considerable savings. Buy in quantity and save.

Dry mounting always works better with our boards than with the "fuzzy" rag boards, which don't always allow the mounting tissue to adhere properly.

Dry Mount Tissue

For a while this product was discontinued, but we have found someone to manufacture it.

For dry mounting prints to boards. Tack the tissue to the back of the print; then, after trimming, position the print on the board. Lifting the print carefully, tack the tissue to the board. "Sandwich" this between two other boards and insert into the dry mount press.

This tissue is used at low temperatures, and is good for all types of papers (including RC but we recommend you don't use RC paper).

This tacking iron was one of our first products. I've looked at lots of them and haven't found anything better.

Tacking Iron

Our tacking iron has a nicely designed tip which slips easily under print edges. There is a temperature control dial, a non-stick surface, a very comfortable hardwood handle and a 5 foot cord.

These tacking irons are very comfortable to use. They work just as well as the one made by you-know-who. This model has been in use in my workroom for several years.

Made of hardwood cabinet plywood, negative storage boxes are available in 4 sizes.

Sheet Film Negative Storage Boxes

A very popular item! Finally a way to store and sort large format negatives. These hardwood boxes make it easy to store negatives in the workroom and take them to the darkroom for printing. Made to fit sheet film negatives in storage envelopes. The adjustable divider has 4 slots available, so the negatives are always in the proper upright position. The lift off top makes it easy to sort through the negatives to find the one you’re looking for.

These boxes offer clean, safe, convenient storage. The easy fit lid, and 4 vent holes top and bottom allow the negatives to "breathe." Each box easily holds over 200 negatives in their storage envelopes.

We can build these to any size. Call or e-mail for details.
